Can someone provide me with the shoe lining dimensions for the M38a1 parking brake? I just can't see paying $75 for a new set and there is nobody around that re lines brakes. Figured I would buy the material and do it myself. _________________ Matt

I can get the linings already cut for $20 without rivets, but you can buy plain lining for $10/ft - I just need to know how wide and thick they are. _________________ Matt

The bigger issue with the shoes is not the lining. A1 parking brake shoes are notorious for rattling. This is caused because the pins on the lever and the holes in the shoes wear out. The reason we made the shoes complete is for that reason alone. Better than 85% of the shoes are worn out in the hole diameter and should not be re-lined. If you insist on just re-lining, I have some lining kits in stock.
