My latch from my under-seat tool box lid is missing. Can I make one? Dimensions and material?
I have a spare D-ring to start with but have never seen a tool box lid with the latch intact..

John at Midwest Military has the NOS L-shaped catch that locks/holds the lid down if you don't want to make your own. Not sure about the other components... a spring perhaps for tension? _________________ Tony Morreale

I didn't have any of the latch parts. I made the L shape rod and purshased a round metal ring. I was told back when I had the same question about this, that it had a wavy spring washer under the D ring. I didn't one of those so I put a short low tension coil spring between two flat washers under the D ring. _________________ Tropical Veteran
