hello everybody
sorry for my scripture(italy stuff) but i try to translete what i report on my jeep:

when my m38a1 is cold,i try to swich on the sound is like popping and spitting making a black smoke...
but after 1 minute with run at idle speed sound came really nice and smooth...
and all the ather attempt to swich on the engine ,are lovely and smoot to
only when is cold i've problem...
specially if i leave the jeep alone for 3 or 4 days, doesen't work..
ok i now he love me .. Very Happy
but yesterday when i swich on after 3 days, was popping very bad,and afther the engine run out,
i remove the pipe from the carburetor to the air filter and i notice a lot of petrol coming out ...
i close the fuel line (from the valve in the fuel line)and the jeep start against..
i turn in on position the fuel(the valve in the fuel line before the fuel pump)
and the jeep popping and floading ...
ok the question is:
can the fuel pressure bend the fuel floating bowl?
regards
gian

1 - If the float level is set too high this can happen.

2 - If the float is sticking in the low position this can happen.

3 - If the pump pressure is too high this can happen.

1 & 3 should also cause rich running when warmed up.

3 can causes the problem on startup then the float pops free and all is well.
