If you bought a carb kit, did it contain a idle mixture screw?
Mine did not. If yours did I would like to know where you bought it.

I recently purchased a carb kit for the YS carbureter from Midwest Military that has the idle mixture screw (idle adjustment screw on the diagram supplied with the kit).

Kendall I bought mine from Brent Mullins.
MFG is APCO Auto Parts Japan
According to the package contents it list the adjustment screw and spring yet they are not in the sealed plastic package.
I haven't been able to reach him yet about it.

Hands down without a doubt the $55 kit from Midwest or AJP is the best available kit and contains all the parts you need for either carb (637S or 950S) in that one kit. For that reason be careful not to install a wrong part.

What are the parts that are unique to each carburetor?
Thanks, Kendall

Well I guess that is why the kit I have is cheaper because it dosn't have some of the parts that MWM's sells.

Compared to MWM's package, My kit doesn't have the bag of screws. But has only two large screws and two small screws. Has only one metering rod. Doesn't have the long rod and tube or the idle mixture screw and spring. And doesn't have the inlet pipe fitting. It has all the other small pieces. Diaphrams are of black rubberized material.

It has five aluminum plugs,
Only one metering rod compared to MWM"s which has two metering rods.
Compared to MWM's kit, It appears to have all the parts excluding, these items:
From the parts picture in the tech manual.
These are not including in kit.

SS - bleeder tube
AM - strainer nut gasket
AN - strainer nut
N - Idle adjustment screw spring,
P - Idle adjustment screw,

Also does not include the long brass pointed rod that goes into item SS bleeder tube which is not labled in parts manual.

It has four screws, two large and two small.
