I'm getting ready to put in my engine. I'm going to start it up with the tub off. What should I do with the vacuum line that goes to the wipers? Should I leave the line open at the fuel/vacuum pump (line with blue tape)? I have all the PVC stuff hooked up on the comming off the other side of the fuel vacuum pump.
Also, if I leave the oil bath filter off will it get enough vacuum to allow the YS carb to work correctly with the feedback tube comming off the cross over tube to carb?
You can plug the wiper port of the "T". Hook the crossover tube to the carb and you'll be fine. _________________ Wes K

You can plug the line with anything that will fit and then drill a .040 hole in the plug. That will simulate the restrictor that goes in the "T" for the distributor vent line. Hook the crossover tube to the carb and you'll be fine. _________________ Wes K

Thanks again Wes.
So to recap, I'll pull out the short section of vacuum line in the picture with the blue tape, plug the hole with cap that has .040 hole drilled in it. Got it.
I'm doing the initial run with a 12v distributor installed. After I get it running I'm going to switch the system over to 24v. The reason I'm doing this is I already started and timed it with the 12v distributor that's in it. I want to build the engine oil pressure quickly and not futz around with timing and electircal.
