1951 M38
In SNL-G740 Pg 63 it shows 3 items listed for anti-squek.
L = pt #7375010
M = pt #7375011
Q = pt #7375012
Are all 3 made of the same material?
What is the material made of?
Does anyone have dimension of these parts? Length Width Height

Thanks
Keith

7375010 ANTI-SQUEAK, fuel tank (1 in wide x 6 3/8 in lg) - 1 qty
7375011 ANTI-SQUEAK, fuel tank (1 in wide x 10 3/8 in lg) - 1 qty
7305012 ANTI-SQUEAK, fuel tank (1 in wide x 18 11/16 in lg)-3 qty
7305013 ANTI-SQUEAK, hold-down, fuel tank (1 in wide x 24 5/8 in lg)
BRACKET, fuel tank hold-down, front, inner qty 1
The above info came from the G740 manual section 0306.
You can buy them all ready to go from Midwest Military.
All of them appear to be a heavy OD webbing, at least the ones on my M38a1 were.

The OD webbing material absorbs and holds moisture and can lead to early corrosion issues. The safe thing to use are rubber strips and arrange them so the moisture can reach a drain point. Use a trim and gasket adhesive to hold them in place.

I bought a new reproduction gas tank and found it was a 1/4" taller than a stock one. I needed the rubber underneath as thin as possible. I used a serpintine belt cut into pieces and it worked quite well.

I used sticky back fuzzy velcro. It fit exactly perfectly on the top hold down bar. I'd heard that the fuzzy nylon of the velcro doesn't hold water either. And the weight and the sticky back keeps it secure.
