You are aware the old 2 1/2 and 5 tons used the same door?

DID NOT KNOW THAT.. I'VE GOT 2 DOORS FOR MY M-38
BUT 1 IS DINGED UP PRETTY BAD..

The last pair I picked up came off a 70's vintage 5 ton. The buckets differ only in the number of screw holes they use to fasten to the fender/grill. The doors were identical to my M38's.

I had to look that up. I've never heard them called doors, always heard them called bezels or rings. Learned something new.

In the early 1900's they were actually doors and were closed when the lamp wasn't being used to protect the glass from stone damage on the more prevalent gravel roads of the era. Usually the term bezel was used with the other lamps on the vehicle.
