I bought some new tie rod ends for my M38. The new tie rod ends, where they screw into the tubes are smaller in diameter than the ones I took out. The new tie rod end's diameter at the threads are about .675 inch and the ones I took out are .745 inch in diameter. Consequently the new tie rod ends just slide in and out of the tube without threading. Any idea what the deal is? Did they make 2 different sizes? Any idea who has the larger diameter ones?
Thanks,

Yep, they come in big and small. Just ask for the big ones for the M38A1.
If you look closely at the M38 ORD 9 264 & 265 you'll see the tie rod ends listed and look to the far left columns at the Ordnance Stock number column. Those Ord Stk Numbers prefixed with G758 are the big ones. You'll probably wonder why there are two G758 prefixed Ord stk #'s for each big rod end. Look in the description block at the right and you'll see the "for service use" note on the first one referring you to the next one for service replacement use. _________________ Wes K
