Need to know the backspace of the rims 16 M38, someone could help me?

I looked for that information on the web, but have not found these specifications, and the manual does not show up.

The reason is that it may use similar rims, momentarily (my finances are not enough to buy yet Very Happy ) but I will not even meet that measure, it could be interference, if these rims have a larger backspace.

i have a clean loose rim in my shop. i'll take a few
measurements for you this morning..

THE MEASUREMENTS YOU REQUEST ARE:
REAR BACKSET 3.1875"
WIDTH: 5.75"
IT WOULD BE A POSITIVE OFFSET AS YOU CALL IT.
I THINK THESE ARE NOT TRUE M-38 RIMS
BUT CJ RIMS BUT DIMENSIONS SHOULD BE CONSISTENT.

Mine have 3.68 "backspace and are 6 " wide, so unfavorable with regard to correct measures.

I will take the necessary corrections.

RICKG, I am very grateful.

With a difference of only .5" in rear backspace i dont
believe you would have clearance problems with inner
and outer fenders..anyone else have an opinion??

While your post, I have begun work.
In some countries such as this, the Catholic tradition, these days are holidays for the "Semana Santa" and I have four days to pursue my work.

Although the backspace it's no big problem, yes it is the design of the rim, I do not like, so I decided to change to resemble something more to it should be.

It is true that not be the same, but at 40 MH, at night, without light, heavy rain, drunk, and with eyes closed, no one would notice they are not the original rims. Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Since the first step has been taken, now I see how the central disk to be a soldier carefully.
After the secret is in a good machining on a lathe.

What country do you live in? (You can put your location in your profile, then it will show in each of your forum posts.)

I like your 40mph, night, rain, ... joke. Very Happy

THE 3.1875 DIMENSION I GAVE YOU WAS FROM POINT#1 TO REAR EDGE OF RIM.
FROM POINT #2 THE DIMENSION TO REAR EDGE OF RIM IS 3.5"
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INNER RADIUS LIP EDGE IS SAME AS POINT #1.

THE DIFFERENCE FROM POINT 1 AND 2 IS .3125

PLEASE ALLOW +- .062 ERROR AS I AM USING A CARPENTER'S
MEASURING TAPE, NOT A MICROMETER OR DIAL INDICATOR.

RICKG quiet, no problem, change in the project, I will make the center circle wood
I found some very good wood electrodes ...

Seriously now, this difference in size is only indicative to me and see if it is reproducible given the tools at my disposal.
Anyway thank you very much.

I finished cutting all the centers and began to gage today (in a rudimentary but it worked) to match all the cuts with the hand grinder.
The new centers have not yet fully defined how I do, but I have two or three options and I set soon.

I have four rims and cut, and matched.
The fifth black not because it has a diameter smaller pattern ... Sad (always has to be a black sheep in the family Mr. Green )

Of the other four, which is the intruder? Question
this is an opinion poll for when it is day with good weather and that the parked willys Very Happy
