As I'm dropping the motor back in, I find that it needs to drop another 1/4" in the front. Upon looking at the new ones made by Omix-Ada, I find they are about 1/4 taller than by others I'm replacing. Could this just be from settling and I need to force these ones to work somehow? _________________ Brett

Are both the old and new mounts military with the extra plate that retains the radiator support rod? _________________ Wes K

Neither have that. I managed to get them to fit by loosening everything along with the rear x-member. Made enough wiggle room to get the bolts in. _________________ Brett

You are using civvy front mounts then. The norm is to loosely bolt the mount to the front mount plate on the engine first then lower them to the frame and put the two frame bolts in on each side. Then with the full weight of the engine on all three mounts tighten the bolts. _________________ Wes K
