I am wanting to find out if anybody knows where to obtain accessory holders for a m38 or mb willys jeep. I take my m38 and mb out to a friend's land for hunting and camping. I sometimes find myself in need of a good way to hold several rifles and a frosty beverage (or two). Before you guys attack me for the heresy... hear me out. Any idiot can drill a hole through sheet metal. I am keeping my jeeps in good unmessed with condition. I was betting many of you guys have figured out clever ways to attach a few goodies out in the field that were not permanent. If I wanted to drill and screw junk on my jeep I would post this question on another site. I want to hear from any of you that have attached things to military jeeps leaving no evidence they were ever on. If anybody has ideas about anything remotely related I would like to hear it. Thanks |

I have a block of foam that is cut to fit between the fuel tank and the tool box on my M38 that has two holes cut in it for cups. I will be covering it with OD cloth and that is what I will be using for a cup holder.
No holes in the jeep anywhere and hands free driving. |

Large discarded magnets from stereo speakers make great cling ons.
Get creative with an appropriate tin can or what have you... |

We use a piece of 1 X 4 cut to fit between
the gas tank and the tool box, with two dog
food cans screwed to it, all painted OD. Some
bubble wrap in the bottom of the cans cushions
the drinks. No fall over yet.

I made a box from 1/4" plywood to put in the space between tank and tool box. I put a divider in it so it would have two places. I painted it OD and it blends right in. _________________ Tropical Veteran
