Jack,
It won't work in the A1. The A1 tank has the deeper sump and uses a much longer drop float arm. Is that one a repop? Who is it made by?

Wes,

I think that the M37 used the same fuel sender as the M38. This could be an M37 sender. Also, I have two generator fuel senders that look very close to the M38 sender. Maybe this is for a generator.

Thanks guys.

I know it's an M38 sender. I just didn't know if it would fit something else.

I'm going 12 volt with my M38 project so I don't need it. Wes advised me earlier on this forum to just get a 12 volt sender and adapt it to my tank. So I'm trying to get part of the price for one of those.

Jack

Jack,
That looks like a repop unit. Where and who made it? Military surplus NOS would have been in a brown wrapper. Is the connector on top packard or douglas?

It's definitely a repro. And it has a Packard connector.

On the subject of fuel senders, where in, and which TM do I need to find the procedure for testing a fuel sender unit?

Thanks,
Dave.

Many thanks Wes, now I see it I know I got a copy ages ago for the gauges but didn't realise the fuel sender was on there as well.
Ta,
Dave.
