On the m38a-1 with an f-134 engine there is a rigid line that connects to the driver's side of the engine block towards the rear of the engine. It crosses around the back side of the block and extends up to the small plate where the oil pressure sender is mounted up high on the passenger's side of the block. When I install this line and before I attach it to the sender do I need to fill the tube with oil or is it okay if there is air trapped in this line between the oil gallery and the sender? Or does one need to bleed this line once the engine is running and the oil rises to the sender elevation? _________________ Jim
The gage will be more accurate if you bleed the line by cranking the starter (no ignition) until you see oil ooze from the tube. _________________ Wes K
