Hello guys, when I got my jeep, it had both the transfer case shifter knobs, but the transmission shifter knob was missing. I do know that on some shifter levers, the end is threaded to accept a threaded knob, but my shifter lever doesn't appear to have any threads....were they glued on?

Rick.

On the M38A1 at least, the shifter knob is rubber -- and it just slides right over the shifter.

Same for the M38. The knob "presses" on with a tight fit.
