I have a photo album from my father's Army days and most of the pictures are labled "LOnghorn". Any info on the excercise? I know it involved his unit relocating to Texas.....

April 1952 exercise 82nd AB simulated invasion with a repelling attack using 3200 paratroops in a boondoggled drop that was canx for high winds but the message didn't get to the drop commander and 290 + injured and one killed. _________________ Wes K

Thanks Wes. He wasn't in the 82nd but he did mention riding in the back of a 2-1/2 ton truck all the way to texas. In some of the pictures there's a clothesline strung down the center of the trucks with uniforms hung on them.......
