So I got my bellcrank issue fixed, I shimmed the inside of the bracket and that took all the slop out of it. I get four miles into a test ride with my two kids and all of a sudden the jeep is stuck in second when I go to shift into the third. I nurse it to my buddies house who has an M38A1 as well. We pop the top cover of the transmission and instantly find one of the teeth has snapped / broken off the main shaft causing it to only go into second. At least it happened when I was close to folks I know. The good side of all this, my steering works fantastic now....
