Sorry if I missed it on the search but I didn't see any threads about. When looking for parts like seals, brakes, axle bearings, engine parts, etc...can I use the CJ3 as a parts reference? Just trying to figure out what I can obtain through "regular" channels. Thanks.

The M38 was derived from the civilian CJ3A and there is a lot of parts commonality. I usually look through auto parts dealer catalogs on-line to see if they have something then order through a local dealer. Often they can get a part in the next day from a regional warehouse. Of course, some parts are specialized and you will need to look to military and/or specialty parts suppliers. Just depends on what you are looking for. Good luck!
