The Army maintained it's fleets of MV's using a registration number system. These numbers are displayed on the vehicle. Their MV's maintenance records are organized by registration number as well. This number is assigned to the MV at time of it's delivery to the Army and the number stays with the MV until it is declared surplus to the Army's needs or is stricken from the record due to loss or destruction. _________________ Wes K
