i am new here so ill give it a shot , its not army related but its still a willys, i have a 1946 willys cj2a that i need some help with the front axle bushings, i dont know how to remove the " pilot"? bushing on the front right side, my service manual does not cover this. any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by pilot bushing. Are you talking about the bronze thrust bushing that were used with Bendix shafts? _________________ Brett

yes i think is it sort of stepped and sits inside of the axle held in by a brass ring around the inside of the axle , if so i got it out with a bearing puller. Where can i purchase a new one mine is very worn and causes that wheel to jerk violently when turning. this happend on the left sied before and i found an old used one in my parts pile but i have no others for this side.
