I have been shopping around for a complete wiring harness for my M38A1 jeep and found over $100 difference in prices ($420-$525). Command wiring has the cheapest. Has anyone used his? With what kind of results? Thanks, Kendall |

I have not used their wiring harness.
I bought one from Vintage wiring of Maine and cannot complain one bit so far.
I am interested in hearing what others have to say though. _________________ Ryan Miller

For the M38 I also found the Vintage Wiring of Maine a very good product, only 1 end fell to bits when I was assembling it into the jeep which is not bad for what is I guess a hand made labour intensive item.
In retrospect I wish I'd bought the one that included the wiring for the indicators but I didn't know about it when I ordered it.
It didn't contain the thick reg to genny cable which I thought would be in the set. I would have also bought that cable if it had been available.
I also forgot that I would need a lot of female-female conectors and a good handfull of 2 into 1 connectors which held me up for a while.

I have never heard of Command Wiring. Why are they cheaper? Do they only provide you the main harness and nothing else?
Where did you find them at? I Googles them and nothing came up.
I bought a Vintage Wiring of Maine harness for my M38A1. It's the most expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Command Wiring was listed under the "Wiring/Electrical" heading in an old MVM web directory (www.commandwiring.com). I know that Vintage wiring of Maine has very good product, that was why I was skeptical of this other guy with his price. His is suppose to include everything except the gen/reg. cable. Thanks, Kendall |
