Site update today. Show gauge refinishing and and install as well as convoy light and a before and after of the underside of the tub on the chassis page.

Thanks Ryan,
There are some fast days, and some slow ones. Working on repainting the engine right now and it is a bit of a slow go as there is some disassembly required and I do not want to take it all apart. Once I get the engine back in, it will give me some additional space in the shop and the pace of progress should pick up again.
I was pleased to see that I have had over 1000 visitors to my site not including repeat visitors.

Jeff,
I know what you mean about shop space!
I have my frame on wheels, but the engine is on a stand, the transmission/transfer case are on the work bench, the tub is on a rotessorie I built (inspired by you!).
I have the engine/trany/transfer rebuilt, painted and ready to assemble together and place on the running gear. I just need to get myself going again. I got side tracked with the new website construction and M38 factory info research. _________________ Ryan Miller

Jeff,
I really like your website. It is very informative and it inspired me to build a rotissorie.
I took the day off yesterday to do some work on the tub and flipped it several times with it mounted on the rotissorie and I thought of you and your website every time.

thanks Ryan you're embarassing me.
That is why I did the web site. I learned from other sites (this one is great) and thought mine would be helpful as well.
Can you answer a question for me? On my site are the fonts on the first page military? I see it that way with my viewer at home but at work it is not correct.

Jeff --
Fonts will only display on a computer if and only if that computer viewing the website has that font as well. If it doesn't, it'll go to a default font. In otherwords, if the viewer doesnt have the Army Condensed font, it's going to show up as something like Times New Roman.
There is a easy way to get around this. Simply create a transparent image with that text in your Army Condensed and have that whole image a hyperlink.

YAHOOOOOO! Started the jeep up this afternoon!!! Had two wires mixed up (ran pretty good anyway) and it really ran well once we corrected that. The manifold paint started to smoke, and as we were in a garage with limited ventilation it was time to shut it down
It ran well, no leaks we could see.
Now it is time to get on with the rest of the work.

Congrats Jeff! I know the feeling. After a long time rebuiling my FHead with no prior experience, I was thrilled to hear the engine purr to life.
As for the manifold, try some high temp paint. www.por15.com has a nice rust preventive high temp paint that works very well for things like the exhaust manifold. _________________ Bob Collins

Thanks to all for the positive comments and suggestions. I forgot to mention that we came up against a bit of a wall when hooking up the wires as the manual does not show circuit breakers. Then I remembered the download section here and I ran inside, opened the site and there was the info I needed!!!
Indeed overall this site and the "G" have been most helpful.
