Just guessing these are the Occupational Forces in Japan. My dad served there in 1945-1948 as part of U.S. Army Security Agency. Maybe he met these guys! He was part of the group of GI's who introduced baseball to Japanese children.
When he was discharged he was given by the Army a book on the history of WWll. He was classified a WWll Vet by the Army. According to the book WWll did not officially end till 1948! Who knew!
