Hello Randy here in Laure Hill, FL. does anyone have a good used/new passenger seat and hardware for sale for a 52' M38a1. If so i may have a passenger seat for an m38 for trade if possible. i can show pictures if need be. Seat is in excellent condition.

I don't possess a 38A1.
But if I'm not mistaken, the 38 and 38A1 share the same pass seat frame?

Modified is correct. Cobra, if you look closely at your M38A1 ORD 9 page 335, you can see that the Ordnance stock number is G740-7697534. This tells you that the first time that seat was used was in the G740 or M38. The Ord Stk # and the Willys part number are the same for both jeeps.

Everyone,
It helps a lot with your parts research if you obtain the ORD 9's for the MB, M38, M38A1 and M151 and the Civvy CJ's as well. You can quickly ascertain what will or will not interchange.

I googled m38 drivers seat pics, so apparently the seat that i have is a drivers seat for a m38, not for a m38a1. i will try an post a picture of the seat if i can figure out how to load it on the site.

Your original post asked for a passenger seat. The driver's seats are very different M38 vs M38A1.

M38A1 driver's seat.

M38 driver's seat.

The picture was most helpful, apparently the seat that i have is to an M38 drivers seat. I purchased this seat on ebay thinking it was the passeanger seat that i needed for a m38a1, as usual it was advertised wrong and i did not do my homework. Excellent m38 drivers side seat for sale or trade for a m38a1 passenger seat if wanted. contact me and i will send pics. thanks for your help most appreciated. randy
