I will be re-assembling my transfer case over the weekend and wondered if anyone uses any sealing material like RTV, etc. between the cases other than new gskets?

Yep, Versa Chem #2 from O'Rileys Auto Parts, which is like permatex #2. I also put it on the bolts that are wet to the inner case. ------It will still leak later on like they all do Laughing John

Keep your RTV on the shelf for plastic toys and bathtub sealing projects. There are plenty of quality sealants and adhesives designed to perform well in equipment filled with oils and fuel. You can't go wrong with the Permatex 1 and 2 types.
