What style of bridge plate is correct for a 52 m38? I have seen one with back plate, and 3 removable plates with different numbers Some just painted on and seems like there is another variant too. can someone shed some truth here and or a picture thanks

I don't believe the 1/4 ton series of vehicles required the use of bridgeplates.

The only time you'll see a bridge plate on a jeep is when the jeep has been dressed up by a civvy owner. They weren't required on vehicles with gross weights under three tons or trailers with gross weights under 1.5 tons.
