|

As it says I am repairing my Brake/clutch assembly on my 67 CDN2 as my brake pedal is shifting back and forth several inches. I collected all the parts but now that I have it apart I see that the key for the clutch pedal appears to swaged into the shaft/tube. Actually right through and flattened on the inside of the shaft. The replacement shaft I have has a notch cut into it but it does not go right through and does not look even close to the size of the key on the original. Before I started I assumed, based on the shaft I received, that the key was removable.
There doesn't seem to be a part listed for the key so I'm beginning to think it might be considered integral to the shaft?
I was wondering what others do to address this? Or is the pedal shaft I received the wrong one? Or is there a better one with the key in place available?
Thanks

Xamon,
You may be confusing the pedal assy with the linkage to the rear which mounts to the frame and trans posts.
