I have to replace the channel on top of my windshield for the top can someone give me the measurements for the m 38 mine is missing thx buzzz

I think Daryl Bensinger carries these as a reproduction. Midwest Military may also carry them.

ok. it measures 14 Inches from the underside of the rail to the bottom of the windshield seal.

We had a big melt today and I got out to the M38 before our next snow... spring needs to get here!

From the top edge of the rope channel to the top edge of the pressed rectangles on the vent panel I got 17 1/16th" using a tape measure clipped on the rope channel top edge measuring down to the vent panel. Ends of rope channel would be equal from ends of rope channel to edge of windshield frame. Of course the rope channel would be level. I have no idea what the +/- would be in regard to accuracy. These would of been made on a welding jig most likely so accuracy would be consistent. The rope channel ever so slightly over hangs the rubber windshield gasket by about 1/16" to 1/8th" estimate.

O K thanks for the info I'll check it out thursday I have a 220 spot welder with 18 inch tongs thx for the input buzz
