Enjoyed the shows in the area, but wanted to travel a BIT further, and at a speed in excess 0f 45 mph.
Here's how I'm gonna do it, see my web page for more pix!

Excellent step by step Bill! Looks like you know how to fabricate - great job! I really like the converted boat trailer idea - I am using a car hauler right now that is about 6' longer than the Jeep, too low to the ground and too heavy. Any idea how much yours weighs? Mine is around 1,700#. _________________ Matt

My buddies at the transfer station are getting a new scale within 1-2 weeks. I'll check the weight and get back to you when it's done. _________________ "Frugality keeps me in the Game"

Wow Bill!!!!!!!! You really are a do it to it guy! I admire your passion. You get to relive your past and have fun. You also can fix anything that goes wrong wherever you are at. Any hobbyist that has a shop and does what you do , would gladly open his doors and help you out if you have problems on the road. I sure would! Now drive it like you stole it! John |

Had it weighed today - 1050 pounds, 200 pounds of that is the steel wheel tracks, 20 ft. of M12.5x10 construction steel, plus another 100 lbs. of cross bracing.
Add 2625 lbs of M38 Jeep, grosses out at 3675 lbs. I'm towing with a V6 Ford Explorer and no problems! _________________ "Frugality keeps me in the Game"
