Well there has been a lot of talk of the 70th anniversary of WW2 coming up, it seems everyone has forgotten a more significant date, June 28 1914.
The day that started world war one is very quickly coming up on 100 years. This was the day crown prince Ferdinand was assassinated. As important as WW2 was we must not forget WW1, millions died in the trenches, and the treaty of Versailles that ended it led to the economic reasons for the Germans starting WW2. I encourage everyone to pick up a book and at least learn a bit about "the war to end all wars" as we approach this solemn occasion.
Lest we forget.

Yes, you are right. We should remember it just as much as every other important date. "The Great War" shaped the world to what it is today and the results of that war, started WWII.
