Ok, I have gone the route of applying Tank Renu sealer to an original M38 tank with terrible results (was refunded for the total cost).
Has MD Juan improved their reproduction tanks yet? I need to get a proper fitting tank installed for this jeeping season.
Who has a good original reproduction or new old stock tank for sale?
Thanks,

I installed a new md tank and have no complaints. Everything lined up and installed as it should. Purchased from Willys Acres in Ontario. _________________ Jordan

The tank had pinholes through out and the bottom of the tank was replaced. It held fuel for 2 months before delaminating. Further metal replacement was not possible after the TankRenu was applied. _________________ Brian '51 M38 USMC |

I have had a reproduction tank for the last 5 years with no issues. The first gas tanks that came out were not a good fit. I am building another M38 and I am planning on putting in an other MD gas tank. _________________ Mario

The height of the M38 tank in mine barely clears the seat. I also had to do some tapping and tweaking to get the extendable spout to fit , otherwise it's fine. The M38A1 tank I bought was a total failure. Good luck. John |

Thanks for the replies and a date heads up for the manufacture.
I will let you all know how it fits. _________________ Brian '51 M38 USMC |
