|
|
A pair of used, flat bar, folding M38A1 door frames with canvas.
The frames have just slight surface rust. Basically rubs off. One has a
couple of slight bends in the flat bars. They come apart at the top and
hinge easily. Escutcheons and latches are good. All need cleanup, sanding
and paint.
The canvas is in poor shape. Passenger is worse. Driver side has hand
pass zipper opening. Missing a few snaps. Don't be mistaken, the canvas is
not useable. The canvas is very brittle and one side is badly torn. You could use them for a pattern if you are careful.
I paid 50 and would like that, plus shipping, or if within a reasonable
distance I could meet you. Or trade for equal value.
They will not fit my M38. The windshield angle is wrong, and they
don't have the bends for the body tub angle.
I'll have pics up later but wanted to get these out there.
Tks,

I'd like to have the old canvas to compare with the new. If you can remove them and make it easier to pack, that's fine. I Pm'd you my contact and Addy. Thanks, John |

Man, I get away from the forums for a little while and miss a deal like this! Been looking for door frames of and on for a while now, so if anyone knows where to find a pair (at a good price), let me know! _________________ Matt

LOL. You're talking about the $632 one with $163 shipping, right? That might actually be worth it if the canvas was new (not 23yo as stated). BUT, I don't really need doors that bad, and I already have side curtains. I was thinking more along the lines of under $500 - AFTER I put me canvas on them. Thanks for the link anyway though. eBay has just gotten outragious on a lot of stuff. _________________ Matt

It sure would be nice if someone could start repopping these frames since they seem to be so rare. Only problem is the cost. I think it is MD Juan that are making the m38 ones, but nothing for the a1. If I'm not mistaken, it seems I saw a $300 price on those, which is a good bit more than I am willing to pay. But I guess some folks don't mind paying the price. _________________ Matt
