My M38A1 needs a new brake light switch. Is this a normal NAPA type product.
I dont think 24V is a factor but would like that confirmed.
Thanks

It won't have the waterproof connector. Midwest Military, Army Jeep Parts
and others have it. Have also seen it on eBay.

Good news for you is the A1 switch is typically cheaper than the M38
switch.

Take care,

Huh? According to my books both the M38 and M38A1 use WO 804783 stop light switch. Are we talking about the same thing?

You may be right Kendall. I may be thinking of the NOS original
horn switch versus the new replacement version available.

Still, if he is using the military harness he'll not be able to maintain
waterproof capability with a "NAPA" type brake switch. The terminals may
connect but the boot isn't there.

Take care,

Possible, use Napa switch but cut and sauder boot ends on with shrink wrap. Stll suggest just buy proper one from m parts supplier.
