I did buy it and yes, immediately threw away the seat covers. Initially I though a new coat of paint and undercoat would have it ready for the beach but as many restorations start, I began by fixing things that were broken and now have progressed to fixing things that are not. Completion will be later this summer. I 'll post a before and after at that time.
