Problem is the site needs a person that can perform Maintenance on it on a regular basis. There are NO volunteers to do this and so it must wait till they find someone with time to step up...
I have no computer savey for this type of action so I am out...
If you know of someone then have them contact Ryan... _________________ Hal, KB1ZQ

There you have it in a nutshell. Everyone wants the web site & it's info but no one wants to apply any computer skills towards maintaining it. Until this changes we will have to deal with hiring help each time it falls off line and then wait for the repair. _________________ Wes K

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info. I don't now jack about computers..........I end up having to "phone a friend" whenever mine acts up......or going out and just buying a new one every 5 or 6 years. Sort of like just buying all new parts instead of actually diagnosing what's wrong. So I probably can't help much with IT related stuff.
Being relatively new to this site I don't know all the history........so don't shoot me if I'm out of line here. There's no request for donations on the home page, so I'm assuming Wes and Ryan are footing the bill to keep this site up and running........no? Over on the G741 site, which I used to live on before I got my A1, we'd all send a dollar or twenty every once in awhile to help with the costs. This site is absolutely essential to me and I'm guessing most of the folks who post......so speaking for myself (but hopefully for most of the others as well), I'd have no problem donating some cash to the cause once or twice a year. Not sure if you guys want to go that route or if that would even help with the problems you're having.......but this site is worth it (IMHO). Just say the word.

Ditto.
There's got to be a way to help out, assuming money will help the problem, because I'm pretty sure Wes doesn't want some computer-ignorant hack like me touching his stuff!
And from what I can see, probably better off hiring it done, because the really computer saavy nerds are half my age, not into jeeps (yet), and they ain't cheap. You always get what you pay for. _________________ Ron D.
