Here you can see the latch bolt type add-on pass seat hold down as well as the late M38A1 right side snap latch.

Here's another view of the late M38A1 sanp latch on the right side of the pass seat.

Have you seen some of the welds on the reinforcing plates on the rear corners of the M38 tubs??
