Cant seem to find any pictures of how the top gets folded and stored in the jeep. I have a 1952 M38. I remember seeing a thread awhile ago but have not had success finding it.

Thanks

Scott

The only informative illustration is on page 9 Figure 3 of your M38 Operator's manual TM 9-8012.

The only actual folding instructions are contained in the same TM 9-8012 Page 309 Paragraph 264 a (5)

There is no folding guide so to speak. The manual shows it all stowed on the rear wheel house. It will take a wee bit of imagination to end up folded they way it needs to be. The only important guideline to keep in mind is "Do not fold vinyl windows"!

If your doors are rigid then you can only toss them on the back floor.

Thank you Wes, went right past the pictures to the Body section. Never thought of the top view. This helps tremendously.

Thank you again,

Scott

Here's how I store mine. The picture in the manual shows the top on the passenger side, but I feel it's safer behind the driver since I don't carry the side curtains and don't have collapsible doors. On my Army 'a1 I have a fire extinguisher mounted on the driver fenderwell and a radio set on the passenger fenderwell, so the top gets folded and placed under the seat (folded differently so it will fit, of course).
