I spent three tours in Vietnam and I don't remember ever seeing an M38. Although there may have been some. We had M38A1s in 66-67. After that we had the 151s. The South Vietnamese Army had the 3Bs and maybe some 151s. _________________ 1952 M-38 # 53623 - 2-52. M 416 trailer.

I think the wire cutter is a useful safety device (even today), maybe even essential, for any jeep that travels down the road with the windshield folded down. Motorcycles are on their own of course.
Kind of like concealed carry: I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. After all, you can only be decapitated once.
Too many crazy nut jobs out there today. I'm using that photo as a model for my wire cutter, mostly because I intend to travel windshield down.... but also for that cool, period correct factor. Thanks for posting it!
I am going to mount it differently, using existing holes. _________________ Ron D.
