I have an M-38A1 Fuel tank, it is original as far as I can tell. It is covered in black fiberglass about 3/8" thick. It is excess to my needs and I am willing to sell it for $150 plus buyer pays shipping. I figure if I can get a tag attached to the tank that would work as an address tag and then take it to shipper. It is quite solid as far as I can tell. I have put NO fuel or liquids in it. I will also be listing this on the M-38/M38A1 FB page.

If interested contact me at kb1zq@swbell.net.

Thanks for looking...

Hal,

I finally got around to working on the fuel tank. Took me about 2 hours with a propane torch and a scraper to loosen and remove the fiberglass and resin. Whomever put the fiberglass on the tank did so because the solder repair job failed. Anyway its at the shop now and we will see what its going to take to get it fixed. Surprisingly it was only bad on one side.

Tim
