Just released is a new book covering the 1950 Willys CJ-V35/U in detail. Over 15 years of data collection and research went into writing this book. This is a paperback book, 82 pages, 53 illustrations and photographs, many never before published. The first 50 books have a "serial number" applied with a Justrite #BN2-6 rubber stamp, see page 47 in the book for the significance of this stamp. For up to date information about the book see the webpage..

Bob that is great!

I clicked the links and went to Walk's but I could not find it.

Is there a specific search phrase or location on the website?

The book has not been added to the Walck's website yet so it will be necessary to call them for now.

Now only available at Kaiser Willys.

LOL Bob. Not likely. Too rich for my blood. The less-rare M38 is all my wallet can handle.

I bought the book for the history and linkage to the M38, and because I'm a Marine (retired) who worked electronics maintenance for a career (yes, including truck-mounted MRC and GRC radios).

The CJV-35U is unique and interesting, in part because it's another example of what I experienced first-hand --- the propensity of the Marine Corps to go it's own way with some of its gear (like the Mighty Mite, Harrier, EFV, and the Osprey) when nobody else will touch it and they can least afford it in so small numbers compared to the gross amount the Army and Air Force usually buy together. Hard-headed sometimes.

Do CJV-35U owners have their own web forum like this one to compare notes and chase parts? It'd be great to see recent photos from owners.

Here and the G503 "Jeeps used by: USMC, USN, USCG" are the only forums I know of.
