I'm a new owner of a 1954 M170. after searching the web for parts it looks like I may need to fabricate some parts. I thought I would start with something easy like the support. Does anyone know the distance from the dash to the center line of the support? Thanks for your help. Gary

Would love the answer myself, my 61 doesn't have any of the ambulance gear besides the tailgate

Thanks for the reply. I have scaled up some dimensions from the technical manual photographs and others on the internet. I haven't had time to mock one up yet. If it looks good, I'll send you the specs. I have a tailgate but it doesn't have the holes for the litter.

I should have access to my M170 this weekend, or send me the part number for the grab bar and I may have dimensions on file. Nevermind it's 685299

I'll check for dimensions.

Thanks, That would be awesome if you could, hope it turns out alright.

My tailgate has the holes but someone cut the extra bracket off the top for the third litter.

I'll have to fix the oil leaks first... well after the brakes that are supposed to arrive tomorrow, drives around the yard OK without them but not recommended.

Would anyone know the dimensions of the litter rack floor channels? They appear to be about 3 inch c channel by my eye BUT eye ball measuring an image doesn't always pan out in the wash.

Yeah, that's one of the photos I used to scale up the dimensions. I'm a woodworker, not a metal fabricator so I'm going to make a prototype this weekend using dowels.

It's only a 73.8 K file size. A 300 to 400 file size would be much more readable.

Yeah, I struggled with it. The actual file size was 2 megs as hosted on the 503 site, but was somehow reduced when linked.

If you want to PM me an email address maybe I can use wetransfer to send a full resolution copy.
