Hi my name is Paul, this is my first post and I am rebuilding a 1952 M38 Willys Jeep CDN. I am inquiring if the correct brake lines for this vehicle are soild throughout or do they have flexible portions that have 15,12,and two six inch flex hoses. I have seen photos for both installations and am inquring which is correct for this year of Jeep.

Thank You

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the forum with your first post!

Beware that I'm ignorant of any differences between the M38 and the M38 CDN.

The M38 uses the 4 flex hoses in the lengths that you mention --- listed in the September 1955 ORD9 on page 251.

If it helps, here's an old post that also discusses them: http://willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5919&highlight=brake+hose

Pretty sure that any brake line install without using flex hoses is not only incorrect for the M38, but also unsafe.

Good luck!

Paul, I took the liberty of moving your post to the correct board; "Technical Knowledge" . The Projects Board is for long term project coverage that is used to discuss project progress.

As for your question, I suggest you follow the M38 CDN parts manual published by the Canadian Armed Forces.
