I do not have this part on my m-170. I have just a hose from my carb to air filter. Do I need this and if so where can I get one and how to hook up all the extra hoses. The tech manual that I have does not cover this part at all. Thanks from the new guy who is just learning to turn a wrench on an engine.[img]

Yes you should have the crossover pipe and it's associated plumbing as it provided for the fording system valving and venting of the carb and distributor. You really need to get the tech manuals for your jeep and read them. You'll find the crossover pipe functions described in great detail in the TM 9-8015-1 and the old operator's and maintenance manual TM 9-804A is a great help as well.
