Hi Wes,
Well we made it back from WI, we picked up 6 Jeeps and many other parts. Here is a couple photos of the VERY !!!! Very nice unrestored M38.
This is the first time in many years this M38 seen light.
Dennis Sunby is getting his jeeps ready for the ride back to ND. He also has a early 46Cj2a coulmn shift, and the M38A1 is coming out of the garage ready to load.

For the newcomers to our web site Rory Grenier from North Dakota and several club members discovered and purchased this cache of Willys/Kaiser Jeeps in Balsam Lake Wisconsin. They moved about half of the vehicles last October, another half dozen this month and probably one more trip to go yet.
I went there with them in October and it was clearly a Gold Mine of Willys history. The M38 in the photos here was a beautiful unrestored M38 that went from the Army to Civil Defense to this shed. Rory assured me we will get this M38 very well documented on paper and photo. _________________ Wes K

Wes,
We are going to have the M38 all cleaned up for our summer show in Minot, ND (June 26-27). I will then get you some great photos. When the M38 was on the trailer I got a very good look of the frame and body. The bottom of the body looks great , There was NO rust to be found. The wood in the bumper and the channels under the frame looks perfect. I had so much to load up I forgot to take some better photos.
The early coulmn shift (ugly cut up) CJ2A that was out side. has the frame tag on the inside of the frame , Like a MB.
This is one of the loads from last fall, There was the yellow M38A1C, a early M38A1, and on the back is a M170 withch in now running.
I also loaded up the marine williys engine. This has a late WWII block casting. This engine looks like it has very little hours on it. The OD green paint is still on the intake. There is still the WWII style fuel pump with the primer lever. Brown baklite dist. cap, this is complete and looks good.
Whave taken a total of 11 Jeeps from there and we have only the two M38A1's left.
I will keep you posted on any new photos. _________________ Rory Grenier

Was this that collection some one posted pics of and said they were gonna haul them to the scrap yard if no one wanted them?
No this was a collector that just bought them over some years and never restored any of them. He passed away about 7 years ago and I am selling them for his son.
and yes there was 4 Jeep that were outside under a car port. This would be a dream shop to have. he we are loading the cut up Cj2A from under the car port.
