Hi, I want to pull the data plates off of the metal backing so that I can clean it all up and re-paint the backing. Any advice from bringing the plates back to life without damaging them?

Also, the bottom middle space is vacant. Any ideas on what was there or what should be there? Thanks folks. Mike

Google "Data plate restoration g503" and "Data plate restoration willysmeeps". You find a ton of info. The empty space was for winch equipped jeeps. You'll need those hollow brass rivets and a setting tool as well.
