Is possible to use a solid State kit made for M151 Mudd on my M38a1, if I do some modifications

Yes - I did it on mine. If you do a search, you will find many threads on here about it. I actually did a video on YouTube also - search for William freeman or M38a1 electronic ignition conversion.

Without getting into ridiculous shouting matches the safest way to differentiate between pointless ignition and computer controlled ignition systems is to call Pointless either pointless or hall effect ignition and then stick with computer controlled ignition for those cars with engine brains that most of us call electronic ignition.
