This is a posy about:

Quote:
The post was intended to tell about a vendor (named "Georgia Towels") who sells an American-made product for a great price.

A product that's commonly used in this hobby, or at least I think it is.

I use them, they're good.

Good as any, better than most. Made in U.S.A.

Can't go wrong at .19 cents each, delivered to the front door. Very Happy

Less than .13 each if you buy 1200.......

Just a crazy cheap shot, but what would I think if my parts order from any of our valuable suppliers came wrapped in $1 worth of these? Nice! Very Happy

So what does this post tell us about any vendors??? Remember the site is free to all of you because Ryan pick's up the tab on the bandwidth used. let's keep that bandwidth focused on the hobby.

Hi Wes. The post was intended to tell about a vendor (named "Georgia Towels") who sells an American-made product for a great price.

A product that's commonly used in this hobby, or at least I think it is.

I use them, they're good.

Thank you RON, you have now told us what company/vendor and gave us some insight on the quality of their product. Which is exactly what this board is all about.

As stated in the board rules at the top of this board:

Quote:
Welcome to the new M Series Parts Review message board. Cool

On this message board feel free to comment on NOS, aftermarket and reproduction parts for any M Series vehicle.

We are attempting to help others in finding parts for thier vehicles. Some people are looking for NOS and others for an acceptable replacement part. We want to help you get your money's worth when you search for and purchase parts.

Please keep comments as neutral as possible to get the point across. We understand some things can be very frustrating, but try to maintain a professional attitude and manner in your dialog when describing negatives about a subject.
This board is not for personal complaints against individual dealers or about pricing, shipping, etc.

I am setting up some sticky threads on major parts, try to post your comments about that part on that sticky thread. If you have a part to review that is not on a sticky, then start a new posting thread. This will help to keep things organized and easier to find for reference purposes.

Common terms used defined:
NOS:
New Old Stock - a part manufactured (by the OEM) during or within a few years from when the vehicle it was designed for was produced. The part should look brand new with no corrosion or damage and may or may not still be in the original packaging.

OEM:
Original Equipment Manufacturer

Reproduction:
A recently made part that is a fascimile of the original part. Quality can vary. Ideally you would want a reproduction part that is just like the original part in every aspect (shape, appearance, fit, and function). The part may or may not be manufactured by the OEM.

Replacement Part:
A part that was made after a vehicle was produced that may or may not have followed the original specifications and/or the part is interchangable with multiple vehicles.

Aftermarket:
A part that is produced and sold outside the OEM supply chain. The part may or may not have been specifically produced for a particular vehicle and is produced for functionality only or for a modification.

Rating: This is your personnal opinion of the overall value of the project when considering (price, appearance, shape, fit, function, etc.). Please keep these as objective and fair as possible to all involved.

With that said, Wes and I sincerely hope that this message board is useful to those buying and selling parts.

Very Happy Cool
