Hi good discussion. I am looking for dimensions for the clamp strap that holds tank to the back floor on M38. Look for width and thickness of material

Hi Pickle,
Mine is 1-inch wide and looks to be 11 gauge thick (.120", a little less than 1/8-inch).
I didn't unbolt it to measure thickness.

Here's a good photo of one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/302427409600?hash=item466a140cc0:g:v-kAAOSw1dlZoDKv&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsCYPtSuVTczFlwWk7J0yZfsExJM59dlwLjg866WDDTpnAXEyMdGG7AZPcNR5%2Bh21BODFMolMr%2FaEMoNVA4F7QHbjYJ%2FWj4mB44WPlT7QDfO7mPOehc37MrEy%2BLHeIsaCLWr%2FmMwdYVoIUQ3PDrTaFeI3BhJtZd3znRz2XuK9taSw3qgOKU%2FqlWril9XEZu88leW8JoKJKFpuhbbF7SJbLbbUmBu7uFCO2UujjPwdXx%2FK%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9b49ICNYQ

This is a 7 year old post.
It's true that a lot of posts drift off topic all over the place, but it's usually better to start a new post when you have a new question.
Usually gets more visibility, and less muddy water in the old post.

Good luck!

Thanks ron. Really appreciate that.

One more quick question. What is length between bends?

Hi Pickle,
Yeah, I was wondering why you didn't ask for that dimension.

So I unbolted mine to measure.
No easy way to get a dimension due to the radius of the bends, so I measured outside to outside --- from the bottom edge of the flat bolted to the floor to the top edge of the hook.

Overall, it's 1-15/16 inches tall.

I'm pretty sure the tang on the tank that the bracket mates to is made to be bent up or down slightly for adjustment to get a good clamping fit.

Good luck!
