PostPosted: Wed Feb 11, 2009 6:08 pm    Post subject: Connector Part Number... Reply with quote

I need the part number off the connector that attaches to the passenger side rear fender well for the radio set up... I know it is a 3 conductor connector, but I need to locate the other end of the set to make the connection from the radio mount to the power supply.

I have a new MT-299 mount that does not have a connector on it, and 2 MT-297 mounts without connectors...

Any help greatly appreciated...

Hal,
I believe one of the manual changes on the Military Media CD has a parts list for the connector. Fair Radio should also be able to help you out.

try Willy on the radio board on the Gee, I forwarded your post to him. I bought my rt68 from him years ago.
just curious, was there any conectors on your cables? when I looked in my radio manuals they only showed battery conectors, not the 3 pin for the jeep

No connectors just bare wires on the end of the cable...

If I put the connector on I can plug and play with the wiring on the mount, I figure that is what radio connector is for... also the radio cable guard sold by some vendors...

Makes sence to me...

Wes

Would you have a drawing of the VRC-10 install with the proper dimensions or is it fit to order... I have a GRC-9 install drawings but I do not think they are the same...

Thanks,

They are all I have. I suppose you will have to measure what length of cable CO-212 you will need and assemble per drawings. Unless you can locate the part numbers listed for the Group III cable assemblies SC-D-28372-5 for cordage as found in drawing SC-d-28372,

I was more interested in the positioning of the radio mounts and holes in the tub; like the GRC-9 directions have... They show where to drill the holes and such for a standard install...

I will try those and go from there ...

Thanks
