for your flasher did you purchase a:
solid state military 24v kit?
60's era 24v relay type military kit?
aftermarket kit?

I also will have to dig a bit but at one time I was tracing out wires and thought they type of kit mattered.

Correct Tom the early kit has a relay box with terminal strips that goes on the firewall and the wires are run from the switch to it and fastened individually to their terminals. The modern transistorized system is what Ken has and it has a complete sealed cannon plug type harness. They are wired differently.

The M38 wiring harness I purchased came modified for installing a flasher controller. Yes I did order the 24volt solid state military flasher unit.
