I am doing a complete resto on a 1954 m38a1..

down to the paint part EXCEPT one problem...I cant get the oil guage to work.

replaced AGAIN WITH NOS guage and SENDING UNIT TWICE..triple checked the wiring what gives...??

The wiring harness was from Willys Overland from 1954 , cant call anybody up and raise cain !!

any ideas ???

1-Make sure the indicating range of your gage matches the indicating range of your sender. 0-60 PSI gage and matching sender or 0-120 PSI gage and matching sender.

The Holy Grail of instrument function is GROUNDING of the seneder, the gage to the cluster panel and the cluster panel to the dash. New resto paint means very poor grounds.
